NEW EOGL POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST PROBLEM GAMBLING

European Organization for Gaming Law (EOGL) is happy to present our newly-adopted policy paper. Policy recommendations of measures for self-assessment and protection against problem gambling behaviour reflect our approach for creating EU-wide policy proposals.

By putting into effect one of the three pillars of our Responsible Gambling Strategy, the aim of this document is to promote an EU-wide Industry dialogue on practical measures to ensure strict protection of consumers and minimize problem gambling, as well as social, economic and psychological harm related with it.

The Recommendations focus on key practices for a successful customer interaction, based on information and advice, self-protection and self-assessment practices.

Introducing an approach solely focused on the players, the document provides them with broad insights on the very essence of gambling. Social role, as well as potentially adverse impact for player’s economic, social and personal welfare presented are all part of the approach.

The document, part of our Responsible Gambling section, is available at the following page.
