EOGL SECRETARY-GENERAL AT THE EUROPEAN GAMING CONGRESS

The EOGL Secretary-general, Mr. Zoran Puhač, participated at the European Gaming Congress, on October 16 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The event brought together almost 100 top-notch industry professionals from 20 countries. Comprised of industry experts, regulators, operators and suppliers, the attendees discussed the Industry’s burning topics. Compliance updates, licencing, advertising standards and projected business trends were some of them.

Mr. Puhač, one of key note speakers, offered important insights into the current state of affairs of the South-Eastern European markets. In addition, he emphasized the importance for the EU institutions to take a more active role in regulatory unification of the EU online market. This step, he assessed, was a crucial step in creating prerequisites for sustainable and more competitive businesses.

The participants also discussed the overall landscape of the Western Balkans, Italy, UK, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany and Austria markets. The event concluded with the review of Industry’s latest regulatory developments in AML, Responsible Gaming and advertising practices.
