EOGL Secretary General at Bucharest Central European Gambling Summit 2022

The Central European Gambling Summit (CEGS22), the first major event of the gambling industry in Central Europe after more than two years of break due to the coronavirus pandemic, took place on May 24 and 25 in Bucharest, Romania.

After months of conducting their meetings virtually, industry professionals from Central Europe, including experts, regulators, and operators, finally had the chance to get together in person and share their perspectives on current industry trends and the impact of pandemics on their respective fields. Casino Life & Business Magazine was the one responsible for organising this event, which took the shape of a B2B boutique-style exposition.

Mr. Zoran Puhac, Secretary-general of the European Organization for Gaming Law (EOGL), was a keynote speaker at the panel that was referred to as “Ping Pong Talk.” The panel discussed the current state of the industry in Europe.

It was a really interesting “on stage” conversation with Mr. Lucien Wijsman regarding the post pandemic position in the sector at the Gambling Summit, both land-based and online. Tendencies of regulation, not only on the EU level, but also in the Western Balkans and Southeast Europe and growing regulated markets were also the topic.
